Clinic historical facts
From the very beginning, Roots Clinic was supposed to satisfy the medical needs for people who couldn’t afford it due to financial problems. Besides its affordability, nowadays Roots Clinic is one of the main leaders in medical care in Ohio.
In 1979 people in Columbus faced economic decline and as a result a lot of them lost their jobs in a very short time. Consequently they started to suffer from the lack of health care and money. One of the religious community realized a great importance of medical support for these people and it started the construction of the clinic which would meet the requirements of the current situation. In 1982 the first branch of Roots Clinic was opened at West Nationwide Boulevard and residents got quality and at the same time low-cost medical services.
At present time we have branches in Short North, Franklinton, Arena District, Clintonville and Lincoln Village. All these clinics have modern medical equipment and our staff is ready to provide you with different treatments, which are not only high quality but also affordable. Our doors are open for more than 35 000 patients in Columbus.
