Roots Childbirth Series (Overview) 

 

 

Week 1 (Winter) "Firmly Planted"

Preparation, planning and pre-labor. The cold hard ground is broken. Frost still comes at night. The seed is planted in faith. Sunlight & water provide nourishment. The farmer nurtures & protects the seedling. By the end of this season a sprout appears.

Week 2 (Spring) “Faithfully Waiting”

Patience and early labor. The sprout begins to grow tall and take shape. The leaves are exposed to the elements and they become hardy. They yield delicate flowers that invite pollination. By the end of this season they bear fruit.

Week 3 (Summer) “Fearless… Withstanding the Heat”

Progress, active labor and transition. The green fruit grows in size. It begins to soften and change colors. By the end of this season the fruit is ripe and hanging from the vine, ready to be harvested.
